Microsoft has set October 10, 2023 as the end of life for Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2
After this date, these products will no longer receive security updates, non-security updates, bug fixes, technical support, or online technical content updates. If you cannot upgrade to the next version, you will need to use Extended Security Updates (ESUs) for up to three years.
Although Infor CRM will continue to work on Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 the impact of the safety and security of your network could be severely affected. We strongly advise a server operating system upgrade prior to October. Infor CRM supports server versions up to Windows Server OS 2022 and we can assist if you have any questions on impact if you are upgrading your server versions.
For Infor Cloud customers, an upgrade to your CRM is absolutely required if you are on CRM v8.2-8.3. Since Infor manages the hosted Cloud server operating systems and must ensure network safety, these environments must be upgraded (also requires a CRM upgrade) prior to the October deadline. If your system is not upgraded by the assigned deadline Infor may force an upgrade and that will not include your customizations.
Please contact us to arrange the upgrade to your CRM as soon as possible.

SQL Server Native Client, also known as SNAC or SQLNCLI, is used to refer to the ODBC and OLE DB drivers for SQL Server. Infor CRM relies heavily on the SQL Native Client for connectivity to the SQL server, after SQL Server version 2022 was released, that connection was fully deprecated.
Currently Infor CRM is compatible up to the SQL Server version 2019 due to the SQL Native Client connection, SQL Server v2022 will not work with any of the current releases of the Infor CRM product. Infor plans a migration for Infor CRM from SQL Native Client to the new recommended OLEDB provider from Microsoft in the very near future and will be available in the Infor CRM version to be released later in 2023.
